Eater covers dining and food news from across the country, and it's a part of the Vox Media family. From 2012 to 2015 I worked for Eater as a freelance writer. My features have appeared on the national Eater site as well as the local Eater San Francisco site.

My focus has been on coffee. Drawing on my experience as a barista, a coffee writer for Sprudge, and someone interested in farming and ecology, I wrote on the sustainability of coffee facing the threat of climate change. To write that story I interviewed ecologists, roasters, baristas, and big companies like Starbucks and Peet's. I was also thrilled to get a chance to interview World Barista Champion Tim Wendelboe on his new coffee farm in Guatemala. Another high traffic feature I wrote for Eater's Drinks vertical was an explainer on nitro coffee
